Felix and Betty Excavating

Thanks to Felix and Betty, who took part in the Excavate Project at The Poly when visiting Falmouth and sent these pictures for the blog…

“Thanks ever so much for the experience, was a lovely walk around the town.”

Collecting the kits from the Poly soon

I’ll be collecting the Excavate kits from the Poly on the 24th August. If you want to borrow a physical handmade kit created by myself, archaeologist Elizabeth Scott and the artists – Jan Hopkins, Katie Harnett and Michael Tanner, go to the Poly quick!

You can also email me at excavate@hotmail.co.uk and request to borrow a kit if you live or are visiting the Falmouth area. Or simply download here from the downloadable kit.

I shall be developing the film from the disposable camera in the kits and scanning in the notebook entries too so keep checking the blog.

Lizzy Scott Excavating!

This is the kit in its first outing and I’m pleased to say it went very well. All the sites were found without a hiccup!  I’m looking forward to starting to add more people’s experience of Excavate in the not so distant future.

The Morgawr in Falmouth Harbour!

Johnsey and I have been out and about in Falmouth today testing part of the kit.  Here is a little sneak preview of Katie Harnett’s piece Morgawr in position on Gyllyng Street above The Poly.

The Morgawr is a mythical Monster, which has been sited lurking in several locations in the waters around Falmouth over the centuries.

Come borrow a kit from The Poly from 10th-24th August to see the monster.  Or download the kit here, print off or use your smartphone to uncover the art.
